Torie Torrence is entering her first season as an athletic trainer at Oklahoma State after spending the last two years at UC Davis in Davis, California; where she worked with the softball, football and women’s swim and dive team.
During her time at UC Davis, the Bokchito, Oklahoma, native helped Aggie softball to its two most winningest season and Aggie Football to its first ever FCS postseason appearance and first ever FCS postseason victory.
 
Torrence’s notable displays as an athletic trainers are her proficiency in many manual therapy techniques, dry needling therapy and blood flow restriction training. She has published in the Journal of Neurotrauma and the Journal of Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise for her thesis research on peripheral biomarkers of concussions.
Prior to her arrival in Stillwater, Torrence earned her bachelor’s degree in health and exercise from Oral Roberts University in 2011. She also earned master’s degree in kinesiology from TCU in 2015 and athletic training from California Baptist University in 2017.
