Oklahoma State Track & Field kicks off multi-meet weekend with trip to Norman for John Jacobs Invitational

NORMAN, Okla. – Oklahoma State Track and Field headed south for the John Jacobs Invitational in Norman, Okla., on Thursday after the meet was moved up a day due to anticipated inclement weather.
Maddie Meiner and Jinah Mickens-Malik highlighted the performances on the day with a pair of individual victories in the 100 Meter Hurdles and 800 Meters, respectively. The women's 4x400 Relay squad of Brilee Payne, Ansley Scott, Isis Grant and Mickens-Malik also picked up a win on the day.
Rachel Neaves also put down an impressive performance in the Hammer Throw, tossing the third-best mark in program history with a throw of 61.49 meters.
On the men's side, former Cowboy Mehdi Yanouri won the 800 Meters in poor conditions with his time of 1:49.57. Hunter Vaughn and Ben Currence also found themselves on the podium of the 400 Meter Hurdles with second and third-place finishes, respectively.
