Cowboys Tied For Lead At Linger Longer

GREENSBORO, Ga. - Oklahoma State's men's golf team fired a 293 during the first round of play on Friday at the Linger Longer Invitational to stand in a tie for first place at Reynolds Landing.
The Cowboys' 5-over score tied them for the top spot with Furman in the team race. Alabama finished the day a stroke back and alone in third place.
Redshirt freshman Sean Einhaus led a trio of OSU players who finished the day in the top 10. The Borken, Germany native carded a 2-under 70 and was one of just three players in the field to break par. Einhaus stands in second place and will begin his second round six shots behind Alabama's Bud Cauley
Senior Trent Whitekiller was two shots off the pace of Einhaus, finishing with a 72 and tied for fourth place, while junior Kevin Tway's 73 tied him with four other players for sixth place.
Sophomore Peter Uihlein came in tied for 48th place after a 78.
Sophomore Morgan Hoffmann's 80 tied him for 66th place.
Four OSU players are competing in the event as individuals with sophomore Michael Miller leading the way. Miller posted a 77 and is tied for 37th place.
Junior Mark Johnson and sophomore Bernhard Neumann each carded 80s and were among the group tied for 66th place.
Redshirt freshman Drew Page carded an 84 and is tied for 85th place.
