Was the oldest FBS player during his final season, playing his senior season at 32 years old ... WIth a background in Australian rules football, he excelled at punting accuracy and pinning opponents deep in their own territory throughout his career ... Finished his career with 233 punts in 45 games played, with 93 of them downed inside the opponent’s 20-yard line.
2022 (Senior): A first team Academic All-Big 12 honoree for a third straight year ... A semifinalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy ... OSU’s main punter for the first eight games of the season before an injury caused him to miss the final five games of his career ... Finished the year with 44 punts, with 18 downed inside the opponent’s 20-yard line, seven going 50 yards or more and only one touchback ... His average was 43.8 yards per punt and his season long was a 53-yard punt at TCU ... The key factor again in making it nearly impossible for opponents to return punts, as the Cowboys gave up a season average of just 0.8 yards per return to rank No. 2 in the FBS and lead the Big 12 ... Also made it difficult for opponent to field punts, as the Cowboys recovered four muffed punts from opponents on the season ... Punted 72 times on the year for an average of 42.4 yards per punt, enough to rank third in the Big 12 ... 26 of his punts were downed inside the opponent’s 20-yard line and 32 were fair caught ... With Hutton playing a central role, OSU led the Big 12 and ranked among the FBS leaders by allowing only 1.5 yards per punt return ... Of Hutton’s 59 punts, 37 were fair caught ... Honored as the Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week after a standout performance in OSU’s win over Kansas State ... Against the Wildcats, he helped keep the Cowboys in the game as the offense stalled ... Set a career long with a 62-yard punt against West Virginia.
