ATLANTA – Oklahoma State slugger Nolan Schubart was selected in the third round of the 2025 Major League Baseball Draft Sunday night by the Cleveland Guardians.
Schubart, a two-time All-American for the Cowboys, was the 101st overall pick in the draft, which held its first three rounds today and will conclude with rounds 4-20 on Monday.
An outfielder, Schubart established himself as one of college baseball's top power hitters over the past three seasons and put his name prominently in the Cowboy Baseball record books.
Schubart's career has seen him mash 59 homers, which ranks fourth in program history, and he averages a home run every 10 at-bats. He also ranks ninth all time at OSU with a .705 slugging percentage and 10th with 199 RBIs and owns a career 1.169 OPS.
In his first collegiate season in 2023, Schubart hit .338 and smashed 17 homers and 20 doubles while collecting 74 RBIs. Along with All-America honors, he was named the Big 12 Co-Freshman of the Year.

He was named to the Big 12 Championship All-Tournament Team and the NCAA Stillwater Regional All-Tournament Team and led the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team to a five-game sweep of Chinese Taipei in the International Friendship Series in July as he was named MVP of the series.
As a junior with the Cowboys in 2025, Schubart started all 55 games and hit .300 with a team-high 19 home runs and 57 RBIs, and he was named an All-Big 12 Honorable Mention performer.
