LOS ANGELES – No. 8 Southern California defeated the No. 30 Oklahoma State tennis team, 6-1, on Monday at the David X. Marks Tennis Stadium in Los Angeles, California.
With the loss, the Cowboys fell to 11-4 on the year.
In doubles, Southern California's Wojtek Marek and Samuel Rubell defeated Oklahoma State's Alessio Basile and Isaac Becroft, 6-1. Trojans Stefan Dostanic and Bradley Frye dropped Tyler Zink and Chase Ferguson, 6-3, on court one.
In singles action, USC's Rubell beat Carl Roothman, 6-3 and 6-0, on court six. Bradley Frye bested Basile, 6-2 and 6-3, growing the Trojan lead to 3-0. On court four, Trojan Lodewijk Weststrate dropped Francisco Pini, 6-2, 6-3, for the deciding point.
OSU's Zink trumped No. 33 Dostanic in straight sets, 7-6(5) and 6-3 on the featured court.
Peter Makk bested Ferguson on court two, before Marek beat Garcia.
