Cowboy Tennis Pairing Ranked 13th in ITA Preseason Poll

STILLWATER – The Oklahoma State men's tennis pairing of Alessio Basile and Aaron Williams were ranked 13th in the ITA Preseason Poll, which was announced today.
Williams, a senior transfer from Georgia Southern, and fellow fourth-year Alessio Basile make their debut as a pairing with high praise as the 13th-ranked duo in the first iteration of the 2025-26 ITA Rankings. Williams was a first-team All-Sun Belt selection in doubles last season and went 19-8 during his junior campaign.
The doubles pairing is the highest preseason ranking since Jan. 13, 2021, where former Cowboys Matej Vocel and Dominik Kellovsky came in ranked third nationally.
Coming in 125th in the singles rankings, junior Derek Pham looks to carry momentum following a successful 12-9 sophomore season. Pham went undefeated on court one last season and ended his 2024-25 campaign on a seven-match winning streak.
The Cowboys will begin their fall season at the UTR PTT Tulsa Event on Sep. 12.
