ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Oklahoma State Indoor Track & Field travels to Albuquerque, New Mexico, to compete in the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships on Friday and Saturday.
Freshman phenom Natalie Cook will kick off the weekend in the women's 5,000 Meters after setting the school record in the event with her time of 15:24.26. The cross country All-American enters this weekend with the sixth-fastest time in NCAA this year.
Following Cook is the Cowgirl Distance Medley Relay squad of Billah Jepkirui, Tamara Woodley, Gabija Galvydyte and Taylor Roe. The Cowgirls also broke the school record and set the sixth-fastest time in NCAA history with their time of 10:50.65 earlier this season at the Arkansas Qualifier.
On the men's side, Alex Maier and Isai Rodriguez open the weekend in the men's 5,000 Meters after setting the third and 14th-fastest times in the NCAA. Maier's time of 13:11.80 is the fifth-fastest time in NCAA history and the pair own the top-two time in program history.
Rounding out day one for the OSU is the Cowboy DMR group that enters the championships as the No. 1 seed with their collegiate-record time of 9:16.40 set at the Arkansas Qualifier. At last year's NCAA Championships, the Cowboys earned first-team All-America honors with their fifth-place finish overall.
Taylor Roe highlights the Cowgirls on day two in the women's 3,000 Meters. The defending national champion will look to defend her title and become the first Cowgirl in program history to win back-to-back NCAA titles.
Rounding out the weekend is the Cowboy trio of Fouad Messaoudi, Ryan Schoppe and Maier in the men's 3,000 Meters. They enter the championships as the third, fifth and eighth-fastest qualifiers this year, with Messaoudi owning the seventh-fastest 3k time in NCAA history on track of all sizes.
The entirety of the NCAA Indoor Championships will be streamed live on ESPN+ starting at 10:30 a.m. CT on Friday and 12:30 p.m. CT on Saturday. Replays of the championships will be televised on ESPNU on Sunday and Monday at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m., respectively.
