Cowboy Tennis Falls to No. 17 UNC at ITA Kickoff Weekend

CHAPEL HILL, NC – Oklahoma State's men's tennis team fell to No. 17 North Carolina, 4-0, on Saturday at the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
With the loss, OSU moved to 5-1 on the year.
Starting with doubles action, Benjamin Kittay and Brian Cernoch defeated Alessio Basile and Chase Ferguson, 6-4, on court two for the first finish of the day.
Will Jansen and Karl Poling took down Francisco Pini and Alex Garcia, 6-4, on court three, securing the doubles point for the Tar Heels.
In singles play, Carl Roothman fell to UNC's Chris Li, 6-1, 6-3, on court six. Jansen then dropped Pini, 6-3, 6-2, on court three to make it a 3-0 advantage.
The deciding point came on court two, when No. 9 Ryan Seggerman dropped Ferguson, 7-5, 6-4.
The Cowboys return to action tomorrow at 10 a.m. (CST) when they face No. 21 Columbia in the consolation match.
