STILLWATER – Oklahoma State has added a pair of players to its roster with the signing of Grace McKimm and Grace Gordon.
A native of Northern Ireland, McKimm is a defender/midfielder who will enroll as a freshman at OSU this month, while Gordon is a goalkeeper and transfer from Seton Hall who will have two years of eligibility remaining.
McKimm has come up through the Northern Ireland National Team system, where she played for the U-19 and U-17 squads before being called up to the full national team in the fall of 2022 as it prepared for its World Cup Qualifier matches.
At the club level, McKimm starred for Cliftonville FC, which she helped lead to a Dankse Bank Women's Premiership championship in 2022 as she played in 25 matches and had a pair of goals.
"Grace McKimm is one of the best young players in Northern Ireland who has come up through their national team system so clearly they see a lot of potential in her," said OSU head coach Colin Carmichael. "She has a great left foot, awesome left-footed delivery, and she's very versatile – she can play wide back or center mid. She's a very good athlete who gets up and down the flank, and her international experience will be very beneficial."
Gordon, who hails from Chester Springs, Pa., played the last three seasons at Seton Hall after beginning her collegiate career at Drexel.
During her time with the Pirates, Gordon started 49 games and recorded 280 saves and eight shutouts. She is coming off a 2022 season in which she posted career highs with 125 saves and four shutouts in nearly 1,900 minutes of action.
Gordon was a four-time all-conference selection and two-time All-Southeastern Pennsylvania selection as a prep at the Shipley School.
"Grace Gordon is a very experienced keeper who has started three years in the Big East Conference, and that experience will help our goalkeeper group right away," Carmichael said. "She's going to come in and compete for the starting job. She's a good shot stopper, she's aggressive and her kicking is very good. We're excited to add Grace, and her experience is a big factor that will allow her to play right away."
