Cowboy Tennis Takes Down No. 19 Oklahoma, 4-2

Stillwater, Okla. - The 22nd-ranked Oklahoma State men's tennis team closed out its regular season on Sunday afternoon by taking down in-state rival and 19th-ranked Oklahoma, 4-2.
The Bedlam victory broke a five-match losing streak for OSU and the Cowboys improved to 8-10 on the year and 1-4 in Big 12 play.
The Cowboys cruised to the doubles point with victories on courts one and two. Matej Vocel and Emile Hudd secured a ranked takedown on the day, defeating No. 46 Alex Martinez and Nathan Han, 6-2. On court two, Henrik Korsgaard and Dominik Kellovsky sealed the deal with a 6-4 win against Mark Mandlik and Max Stewart.
OU's Jake Van Emburg and Mason Belier dealt a 6-2 loss to Etienne Donnet and Mathieu Scaglia on court three.
Court three was the first to finish in singles action. Alex Martinez defeated Henrik Korsgaard, 6-3, 6-4, to get the Sooners back even. Sophomore Etienne Donnet answered back for OSU taking a 6-4, 6-4 straight-set victory against OU's Mark Mandlik.
Court two followed shortly, Emile Hudd fought hard, but fell short to OU's Mason Belier, 6-4, 6-3, to knot the match at 2-2.
It was a fight to the finish on the remaining courts. Freshman Matisse Bobichon put in the work on court six to regain momentum for OSU. In the first set, Bobichon pulled in front of Welsh Hotard with a 6-4 win. The Sooner then came back in the second set, 7-5. Bobichon sealed the deal, taking the third set, 6-2, to push the Pokes to a 3-2 lead.
The match was a consistent contest on courts one and four, but Matej Vocel knew exactly how to finish it out.
Jake Van Emburgh started early and took the first, 6-0, but Vocel answered back with a 7-6(4) answer in the second set and continued the momentum into the third with a 6-4 triumph.
Court four was left unfinished when the match was decided 6-3, 6-7(2) and 6-6.
