Matej Vocel Secures 4-3 Win Against Tulsa

Tulsa, Okla. - The 18th-ranked Oklahoma State men's tennis returned to the win column on Thursday night with a 4-3 road win over the No. 30 Tulsa Golden Hurricane.
The Cowboys improved to 7-5 on the season and now hold a 2-2 record on the road
Doubles play proved both teams were evenly matched. The Golden Hurricane were quick to take court two as Emile Hudd and Dominik Kellovsky dropped a 6-2 decision against Stefan Hampe and Boriss Kamdem. On court three, Mathieu Scaglia and Etienne Donnet were able to tally a 6-3 win for the Pokes over Tulsa's Ezequiel Santalla and Danielle Siddall. Tulsa secured the doubles point with a win on court one. Matej Vocel and Henrik Korsgaard fell to Connor Di Marco and Kody Pearson, 6-4, to take the first lead of the match, 1-0.
Court six was first to finish in singles action with Matisse Bobichon falling to Daniel Siddall, 6-1, 6-4, pushing Tulsa's advantage to 2-0.
Dominik Kellovsky squared off against Stefan Hampe on court five. Kellovsky secured a 6-4 win in his first set and was able to continue the momentum in the second set to score a 6-2 win to put the Pokes on the board.
Mathieu Scaglia was the next to finish in singles play, taking court three over Ezequiel Santalla. Scaglia came out hot in singles action as the first Cowboy to win his first set 6-3. He was able to secure pivotal 7-5 win on court three over Ezequiel Santalla to square the match.
Just like clockwork Emile Hudd fought for a 7-5 finish in his first set against Connor Di Marco and kept the ball rolling to take a 6-3 victory in the second set.
Court five was next to finish with Etienne Donnet falling in straight sets against Juan Pablo Cenoz, 6-4, 6-4.
It didn't stop there for the Cowboys. No. 44 Matej Vocel squared off against No. 73 Kody Pearson on court one. In the first set, it was a back-and-forth battle, but Vocel prevailed, 7-5. The second set came down to a 7-6(4) tiebreaker and Vocel clinched the point to put the Pokes back in the win column.
The Cowboys will be back in action at the Greenwood Tennis Center on March 28 when they host No. 26 University of Central Florida at 11 a.m.
