STILLWATER, Okla. — Oklahoma State's women's basketball team routed Houston Baptist 77-44 on Sunday inside Gallagher-Iba Arena in front 1,659 fans, improving to 7-1 on the year.

Leading the way for the Cowgirls was sophomore Vivian Gray notching 23 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks. Junior Mariam Gnanou notched a double-double, scoring a career-high 18 points and grabbing 11 rebounds.

The Cowgirls opened the first quarter with a 9-0 run. OSU kept up the defensive pressure throughout the quarter holding HBU to 21 percent shooting from the field and 0-for-3 from beyond the arc. Gnanou racked up nine points along with three rebounds in the quarter.

In the second quarter, OSU kept up the intensity on the defensive end. The Cowgirls held the Huskies to just 4-of-11 shooting from the field and forced six turnovers. OSU led 30-17 going into halftime.

Gray got it rolling for OSU opening the third with back-to-back jumpers that sparked a 13-2 run. The Cowgirls put up a total of 27 in the quarter and took a 24-point lead into the fourth quarter.

OSU continued to keep it rolling on the defensive side in the fourth quarter. The Cowgirls did not allow a field goal for the last 8:51 of the quarter.

Next up, the Cowgirls head out west for a matchup against UCLA on Dec. 16 at 4 p.m.
