STILLWATER—The Oklahoma State men's basketball lost to undefeated Houston, 63-53, on Saturday in Gallagher-Iba Arena.
Isaac Likekele scored a career-high 16 points on a career-best six made field goals. The freshman made 67 percent of his field goal attempts (6-for-9). He added four rebounds and assisted on four made baskets.
Thomas Dziagwa was the other Cowboy to reach double figures in scoring. The sharpshooter scored 13 points and went 3-for-7 from behind the arc. He also tied his career best in rebounds with six.
With his performance, Dziagwa has made 101 career 3-pointers and is the 25th Cowboys to reach that milestone. He is 31-for-58 from behind the arc this season.
Yor Anei continued his success with protecting the rim as he blocked two shots. He has blocked multiple shots in seven games this season.
The Cowboys (4-5) came out of the second half on a 7-0 run, but couldn't keep up with Houston's shooting from deep. The Cougars (8-0) made 12 of their 34 attempts from beyond the 3-point line.
With the loss, OSU is now 12-8 against Houston all-time and has only lost in Gallgher-Iba Arena once to the Cougars.
The Cowboys take an eight-day break before returning to action at 6 p.m. on Dec. 16 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, against Nebraska.
