SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — Despite a career performance from Yor Anei the Oklahoma State men's basketball team fell to Nebraska, 79-56, at the Sanford Pentagon on Sunday.
Anei posted 17 points on 7-of-10 shooting and grabbed eight rebounds, which were the most by the freshman in a Cowboy uniform. Lindy Waters and Michael Weather both added 13 points apiece as well.
OSU (4-6) went blow for blow with the Cornhuskers (9-2) in the first half, but couldn't overcome a 37-12 Nebraska run that lasted from the 2:50 mark in the first half until there was 6:33 remaining in the game.
Anei also added another block, bringing his season total to 26. Anei is No. 21 in the country in blocks per game with 2.60.
Curtis Jones made his debut in an Oklahoma State uniform Sunday. Jones made a transition dunk for his first points at OSU.
The Cowboys return home for a matchup against Central Arkansas at noon on Friday in Gallagher-Iba Arena. Tickets can be purchased at okstate.com/tickets.
