Cowgirl Duo Earns All-Big 12 Honors

IRVING, Texas – A pair of Oklahoma State Cowgirls collected All-Big 12 honors for the 2018 season, it was announced by the conference office today.
Kim Rodriguez was named to the All-Big 12 Second Team at defender, while midfielder Grace Yochum earned a spot on the Big 12 All-Freshman Team.
A sophomore from Porter, Texas, Rodriguez tied for OSU's leading scorer as she tallied 14 points on four goals and six assists. Three of her goals came via penalty kick, while her six assists rank as the fifth most in the Big 12 this season. She also led the Cowgirls with 41 corner kicks, and 12 of her 20 shots were on goal.
Rodriguez started all 18 games for the Cowgirls in 2018 and led the team with over 1,600 minutes played.
Yochum was one of 11 players named to the league's all-freshman team. In her first collegiate season, the Houston native started 17 games and posted four goals and an assist. Two of her goals were game winners, and she ranked second on the Cowgirls with 34 shots.
The all-conference teams are selected by the league's head coaches, who are not allowed to vote for their own players.
