PITTSBURGH – Oklahoma State faces another road test today as the Cowboys take on Pittsburgh at 11 a.m. CT on ESPN.
After an impressive road dispaly last week against South Alabama, state media has covered the Pokes from several angles entering week three.
The Oklahoman's John Helsley wrote this story on kicker Matt Ammendola about his success kicking from long range, as well as what head coach Mike Gundy had to say about the Cowboys' kicker this week. Ammendola also talked about today's game is essentially a homecoming for the Philadelphia-area native.
Scott Wright, also of The Oklahoman, featured senior linebacker Gyasi Akem in this week's coverage. Wright profiled Akem's growth and maturity through his years in Stillwater, writing how Akem has become one of the essential pieces that all successful teams have, even if that success goes largely unrecognized much of the time.
