December 29, 2016 | Cowboy Football
SAN ANTONIO – The Valero Alamo Bowl is finally here, as Oklahoma State takes on Colorado tonight at 8 p.m. on ESPN. Coverage of the game has amplified as it has drawn nearer, and several angles have been addressed.
ESPN's Max Olson wrote a great profile story on OSU linebacker Devante Averette this week that details the hard work and unusual path he took to become an All-Big 12 linebacker. Check it out here.
Local media in San Antonio have offered plenty of coverage surrounding the Cowboys' trip to the bowl. The staff at the San Antonio Express-News has written several stories about the team, including this one by Nick Moyle on how San Antonio products have helped fuel the team's success.
Kyle Fredrickson of The Oklahoman expounded on that and detailed how the Cowboys aim to continue their brand growth in the San Antonio area through their Alamo Bowl appearance.
When it comes to breaking down the action on the field tonight, Mark Cooper of the Tulsa World has it covered. He detailed who has the edge in all the matchups and gave his take on the players to watch during the game.
Going beyond that, Jenni Carlson of The Oklahoman wrote a story yesterday on how the Alamo Bowl could be the next step in one of the greatest chapters of Cowboy football history.
While that remains to be seen down the road, we get to find out the results Alamo Bowl tonight, so if you can't be there in person then be sure to watch it live on ESPN with Adam Amin, Mack Brown and Molly McGrath on the call.
