Woodard recorded 22 goals and 10 assists in final prep season
STILLWATER, Okla. — Oklahoma State incoming freshman Haley Woodard was recently named The Oklahoman's All-City Girls Soccer Player of the Year for 2015.
Woodard, who hails from Norman, capped her final prep season by racking up 22 goals and 10 assists and leading Norman North High School to the Class 6A state quarterfinals.
"We're really excited about Haley joining our program, and that is an honor that was very well deserved," said OSU head coach Colin Carmichael. "Haley had a great senior season, and we can't wait to see the positive impact she'll bring to our team with her dynamic athleticism and speed."
Woodard, who also tallied 15 goals and 10 assists as a junior, is one of two high school forwards from Oklahoma joining the OSU program in 2015. Jenks' Marlo Zoller is also a member of the incoming class and scored 72 career goals in four seasons for the Lady Trojans.
"We continue to be committed to recruiting the best talent in Oklahoma to play at Oklahoma State, and with adding Haley, as well as Marlo Zoller, we feel like we've done that. That duo should certainly add more firepower to our attack this season," Carmichael said.
