NEW ORLEANS – The Oklahoma State football team arrived in New Orleans for the 2016 Allstate Sugar Bowl Saturday with all players and team personnel accounted for. The Cowboys held their first New Orleans-based practice this afternoon at Tulane's Yulman Stadium. Okstate.com caught up with safety Jordan Sterns after practice to talk about the team's practice and arrival in New Orleans.
Safety Jordan Sterns
On his holiday break:
"It was good. It was great to do all of our family traditions, get gifts and give gifts back to loved ones. It was a good deal."
On finally arriving in New Orleans:
"It's cool. I had never been down here before, and it's a whole different experience. I've never been to a city quite like this, and it's pretty unique. I'm glad to be here."
On today's practice:
"I think it went good. Having two days off, everyone was eating turkey and eating food that wasn't too good for them. We got after it today, and I think we got all that stuff out of us."
On what he'd like to see the defense accomplish before the bowl game:
"I just want to see us constantly improve in something every day, whether it's tackling, getting interceptions in the air against the scout team or flying around to the ball like we did all season."
