Cowgirls Remain In Second In Tulsa

OWASSO, Okla. - Oklahoma State's women's golf team maintained its hold on second place at the Dale McNamara Invitational after carding an 11-over 299 during its second round at The Patriot Golf Club.
The Cowgirls wrapped up the day with a 17-over total of 593, which is 21 shots behind tournament leader Arizona State. OSU will begin its final round at the par-72, 6,626-yard layout one shot clear of Northwestern, which posted the round of the day with a 291 to move up the leaderboard into third place.
ASU's Giulia Molinaro followed an opening 67 with a 69 to stand at 8-under 136 and eight strokes clear of a trio of players in the individual race.
Cowgirl Jocelyn Alford's 75 during her second round tied her for eighth place at 3-over 147 heading into the final round of action. The senior made the turn at even-par 36 after canceling out a bogey at the third with a birdie two holes later. Alford posted a 39 on her inward nine to finish the day with a 3-over total.
Junior Kelsey Vines finished the day in the top 20 after a 78 tied her for 15th place at 149, while sophomore Jayde Panos came in a stroke back after posting a 72. Panos' even-par score moved her into a tie for 21st place at 150.
Sophomore Josephine Janson's 79 tied her for 29th place at 152. Junior Hillary Wood's 74 moved her into a tie for 36th place at 153.
The Cowgirls will begin their final round tomorrow at 8:50 a.m. and will be grouped with Northwestern and Arizona State.
