OWASSO, Okla. - Oklahoma State's women's golf squad erased a 21-shot deficit during the final round of play at the Dale McNamara Invitational on Wednesday to claim the team title in its season-opening event at The Patriot Golf Club.
The Cowgirls fired a 13-under 275, the second-lowest 18-hole total in school history, during their third round to overtake Arizona State and emerge victorious in their debut under first-year head coach Alan Bratton. OSU finished with a 54-hole total of 868, 4-over par, while ASU was the event's runner-up at 873. Northwestern finished third at 19-over 883.

Cowgirl sophomore Jayde Panos vaulted up the leaderboard with a school-record 64 during her final round to move from a tie for 21st into sole possession of second place at 2-under 214. The Perth, Australia native's 8-under score was one stroke better than the previous school mark held by three players.
A day after posting an even-par 72 that included seven birdies, Panos lit up the par-72, 6,626-yard layout with a bogey-free round that featured four birdies on each nine. After birdies at Nos. 3 and 4, she tacked on birdies at the sixth and eighth to turn at 4-under 32. After carding a birdie at the par-3 11th, Panos posted three-straight birdies at the 14th, 15th and 16th to come in with a matching 32 on her inward nine.
