STILLWATER, Okla. (OSU Athletics ) -- Sophomore Amy Graham had three runs batted in and junior Kelsea Schultz added another two as the 20th-ranked OSU softball team beat Wichita State 10-1 in Stillwater on Wednesday evening. Freshman Simone Freeman started for the Cowgirls and picked up her sixth win of the season.

Oklahoma State (16-5) scored 10 runs in just four innings at the plate. Senior Alysia Hamilton hit an RBI-double in the first inning and later scored on a Shocker error. Senior Ashley Boyd led off the second inning with a double to right field. Aaron Adams came in to pinch run for Boyd and scored on a single from Mariah Gearhart. Gearhart stole second and third and then scored on a bases-loaded walk by Julie Ward.

In the third inning, Graham hit an RBI-single to left field and was followed two batters later by Schultz who hit a two RBI-double to left field. The fourth inning featured doubles from Julie Ward and Sammy Jo Diffendaffer and Graham followed with a single to score two more.

The Shockers (4-15) lone run came in the fourth inning when Heather Gerritse hit a single to centerfield and eventually scored on a single from Holly Eckert.

Freeman (6-3) threw four innings, allowing five hits for one earned run and struck out five. Senior Sarah Odom took over in the final inning, struck out one, and didn't allow a batter to reach base.

The Cowgirls will host the Mizuno Classic this weekend and will play two games Friday, two games Saturday and one game on Sunday. The first games will be on Friday as they face Minnesota at 4:30 pm and Northern Iowa at 7 pm.
