After practices during fall camp, okstate.com visits with first-year members of the Oklahoma State football team to provide fans with an inside look at what makes the newcomers tick. Today's installment highlights safety James Thomas.
1) Who is the biggest influence in your life?
God. Without God nothing is possible.
2)What reality TV show would you have the best chance of winning?
Survivor, because I work hard and never quit.
3) Do you have any football superstitions?
I just pray and listen to my music before every game.
4) If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?
I always listen to this song called Come with Me by Puff Daddy. It's an old school song, but it gets me fired up.
5) If your home was on fire and you could only save one possession, what would you save?
My Bible
6) What is your favorite thing about football?
Competing. I love to compete.
7) If you could have dinner with any three people, living or dead, who would they be?
Jesus Christ and my grandfather. I guess those would really be the main two.
8) Who is your favorite super hero?
Batman
9) What is the one TV show can you not miss?
Family Guy
10) What is the best gift you ever received?
Probably just a loving card from my family. A going away card that they all got me.
11) If you could play any other sport in college, what would you play?
I would say basketball. I played basketball in high school.
12) What is your favorite thing about Oklahoma State football?
The atmosphere and the environment. It's a good environment with good people around. I love being with this team.
13) What is your favorite movie of all time?
Any Given Sunday
14) What is your biggest fear?
I don't really fear anything.
15) What one word would you use to describe yourself?
Hardworking
16) What was your first job?
I never really had a job, but I always used to do volunteer work in my community. I would work with little kids and things like that.
17) What is your least favorite food?
Man, I like to eat so I can't really think of anything.
18) What music are you listening to right now?
Rap. Any kind of rap really.
19) What is your dream job other than playing football?
Being a sports agent
20) Who is the funniest guy on the team?
It's a tie between Orie Lemon and Alex Odiari.
