Getting to know Newcomer T.J. Bell

A: The play book has probably been the hardest thing so far.
Q: Since your brother played here and you were already familiar with the program has that helped you so far?
A: Yeah, since I know the coaches and the program I feel more comfortable. It is always good to feel comfortable away from home.
Q: Is there any added pressure being the younger brother of a well respected former player?
A: Fans will always put that kind of pressure on you but I play on the other side of the ball so I am going to try and do my own thing.
Q: What are your thoughts on Coach Bedord?
A: Coach Bedford is a character. I like coach Bedford a lot.
Q: What about Coach Gundy?
A: Coach Gundy is cool. He is a player's coach.
Q: How do you feel the defensive backfield has played so far?
A: I think we have some more depth now with the younger guys stepping up. When coach asks us to play we will be ready.
Q: Has there been one receiver who has been tougher to go against in practice?
A: I do not worry about who I go up against. When we are in our one-on-one drills, who ever is up I try to cover them.
Q: What, do you think, makes you a good cornerback?
A: I do not panic. I stay calm under pressure.
Q: Why did you choose Oklahoma State?
A: I wanted to stay in the Big 12. I was also already familiar with coaches and the program. The program is on the rise and I wanted to come contribute to that.
Q: Is there a pro player that you look up to or model your game after?
A: I like Fred Smoot, a lot.
Q: You have forty yards, who comes out on top you or Tatum?
A: That is tough. He would probably beat me right now. Give me a couple of years though.
