2005 Baseball Schedule Released

The Cowboys will play nine teams that made the NCAA tournament in 2004 including College World Series participants Arkansas and Texas in Stillwater. OSU will play games against five conference champions and 24 games against teams that had 35 or more wins last season.
Oklahoma State is scheduled to play 31 home games starting with Arkansas-Pine Bluff in a three-game season opening series on Feb. 4-6.
OSU's early season slate includes games against Rice, Houston and Tennessee at the Minute Maid Classic at Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas, the weekend of Feb. 11-13.
The Pokes other non-conference road trips include three game series against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (Feb. 25-27) and Louisiana Tech (March 4-6). Sandwiched in between those series is a two-game midweek matchup against BYU (March 1-2) in Stillwater.
After the Louisiana Tech series, the Cowboys will return home for the rest of March. OSU will open its 13 game home stand against Arkansas on March 8. Kansas State (March 18-20) and Baylor (March 25-27) will come to Stillwater in back-to-back weekends to open Big 12 play.
OSU begins the month of April with road conference series against Nebraska (April 1-3) and Texas Tech (April 8-10). They will then return home to host Wichita State on April 12 at 7 p.m. It will be the first regular season meeting between the schools since 1996.
The Cowboys will host Missouri the following weekend (April 15-17), followed by a three-game set against NCAA runner-up and Big 12 regular season champion Texas (April 22-24).
OSU will close out April on the road against Texas A&M before taking a week off for final exams. The Pokes will be back in action on May 10 as Oral Roberts comes to Stillwater for the first time since 2002.
The Cowboys will then take on Oklahoma in the annual Bedlam Series, beginning on Friday, May 13 at 7 p.m. in Tulsa. The teams will then switch venues to Oklahoma City and play at the Bricktown Ballpark on Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m.
Oklahoma State will close out the regular season in the state of Kansas, first against Wichita State on May 17, before traveling to Lawrence to take on Kansas the weekend of May 20-22.
The Big 12 tournament returns to Oklahoma City the week of May 25-29, with the Cowboys hoping to defend its 2004 crown.
