Rex Hudler To Speak At Second Annual Cowboy Baseball Bash

The event, which includes dinner, is slated to start at around 6 p.m. at the White Barn Estates in Stillwater. Several former Cowboy baseball greats will also be on hand along with the current OSU team under first-year head coach Frank Anderson.

Mike Capps, the voice of the Round Rock Express will be the master of ceremonies. An author, reporter, and TV anchor, Capps has over 25 years of news experience. He has been broadcasting baseball for the last six years, including two major league games with ESPN Radio in 1998.
Rex Hudler just completed his fifth season as the Anaheim Angels baseball analyst. The 42-year-old Hudler joined the Angels television broadcast team in 1999, working alongside longtime play-by-play broadcaster Steve Physioc. Hudler began his broadcasting career as a special correspondent for Good Morning America during the 1997 playoffs, World Series and 1998 Super Bowl. Rex can be seen broadcasting Anaheim Angel games on KCAL and FOX and he has also worked Saturday national broadcasts and playoff games for FOX.
A veteran of 21 years in professional baseball (1978-1998), Hudler played three seasons for the Angels (1994-96) as an infielder and outfielder. In his final season with the club, he hit .311 with a career-high 16 home runs in 92 games.
During his professional career, Hudler, who earned the nickname "Wonder Dog", played for 18 different teams, including a 1993-stint in Japan.
Hudler, who is active throughout the Southern California community as a motivational speaker, also assists the Angels' with baseball clinics and other community events. After their son Cade was diagnosed with Downs Syndrome, Rex and his wife, Jennifer, founded "Team Up For Down Syndrome" to help support the Down Syndrome community nationwide. In February 2002, the Goodwill Industries of Orange County honored Rex with the Walter Knott Service Award.
