2001: Played in all 11 regular-season games and finished with four catches for 16 yards.
2000: Played in 11 games and gained two starts. His starts came in the first two games of the season. His 2000 numbers included nine catches for 185 yards and two touchdowns. He was one of just two OSU receivers to have multiple touchdowns that year.
1999: In his first extensive collegiate playing time, Young played in nine games. He had one catch for eight yards.
1998: His redshirt season at OSU.
High School: First-team All-State pick in both 1996 and 1997. His 1996 stats included 33 catches for 552 yards and seven touchdowns. His senior season, he had 28 receptions for 458 yards and four touchdowns. He had five catches that resulted in two-point conversions. Excelled as a kick returner with 33.7 yards-per-return average on kickoffs and two touchdowns and a 21.7 average on punt returns. He was a Midlands Super Prep Top 30 and rated the No. 2 player in Kansas by First Down Recruiting. Versatile athlete who played center on the basketball team, ran a 10.5 in the 100-meter in track and lettered in baseball. Also recruited by Kansas, Missouri, Iowa and Kansas State.
Personal: Born Dec. 22, 1979, in Kansas City, Mo. Son of Willie and Margret Young. Has a brother, Martez, and a sister, Ariel. Majoring in business administration.
