It's great to get a win, there's no question about that. I really thought that KU would probably play better than what they played. They shoot freethrows pretty well. Obviously they turned it over too many times tonight. They're a pretty good ballclub. If you look at our numbers, they're not a lot better. Kara (Faulk) got off to a good start. I thought Skibbe (Trisha) had an outstanding ballgame. Chantoya (Hawkins) played well at times. But you go down and look at our numbers - we're 33 percent and we're 61 points - we were just able to keep someone under 60. We've been pretty good when we've scored 60 points this year. I think we've won most of our games when we've put up 65. I think we could get on a little roll right now if we could start putting 65 or 70 points up on the board. I'm really disappointed in our last four minutes. We substituted and got some people in, but defensively, we quit playing. But, the first half, and the first ten minutes of the second half, the kids were pretty focused on what we were trying to do.

On the win
It feels great. We really needed this win. If we wouldn't have gotten
this one, then I think a lot of people would've started getting down, and we
would have lost a lot of confidence. I felt like we took control of the
game early and we never let them have a chance to get back in it.?
On letting opponents run away in the second half
That's something that we haven't done the last few games that we've played.
Especially in the second half, we've come out flat. They've hit a few big
shots and we haven't really responded to that. I think we did a good job of
that tonight. Whenever they made a big shot, we came back with the
basketball.
On gaining confidence with a conference win
I feel like we really matched up really well with Texas Tech when we played
them, as far as player to player. Actually, I think we match up better with
them than we do Kansas. We've got some confidence going in there now.

On getting 16 boards
We get punished for not getting rebounds. That's what I was focusing on
tonight. We run for every rebound that we get out-rebounded. I was really
focusing on getting as many boards as I could.
On being one point away from a double-double
I had a lot of chances, I just couldn't knock anything down in the second
half.
