Cowgirl Netters Finish Strong To Down Trojans

STILLWATER, Okla. -- The Oklahoma State women's tennis team overcame a slow start to defeat the University of Arkansas-Little Rock 6-3 on Saturday afternoon.
The Cowgirls, playing without doubles specialist Ashleigh Dolman, dropped two of three doubles contests before reeling off five of six in singles action. The win moved the Cowgirls to 3-1 on the season. The Trojans fell to 7-3 overall.
"We struggled a little bit because we had to shuffle our lineup around. Give UALR credit, they came out and played hard and fought to the end. They are a good team and this is a good win for us," Cowgirl coach Julius Lubicz-Majewski said.
Linda Faltynkova moved up to No. 1 doubles to play with Maria Galoustova. The duo defeated Julata Lillo and Montjeroat Flores, 8-3.
In singles, the Cowgirls picked up straight-set wins from Galoustova, Dominika Olszewska, Faltynkova, Marketa Chmelova and Cameron Stoudt.
OSU will return to action March 9 when they travel to Wichita, Kansas to take on Wichita State.
