Opened her Cowgirl career with a fourth-place finish at the Arkansas Spring Invitational in the 1,500 Meters… Three weeks later, Chelangat set her personal best in the 1,500 Meters with her time of 4:16.71 at the Arkansas Twilight to earn second place overall… Had a breakout performance at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships, taking second place overall in the 5,000 Meters with a blazing time of 15:31.35, which ranked second in program history at the time behind only Taylor Roe… At the NCAA West Prelims, Chelangat placed ninth to punch her ticket to the NCAA Championships, where she earned second team All-America honors with her 15th-place finish.
