2014 Outdoors: Delivered another masterful performance at the Big 12 Championships, grabbing All-Big 12 honors in both the shot put and javelin...Improved her school record with a javelin throw of 46.80/152-06 (5th place) at the event, where she also took sixth (15.57m/51-1) in the shot put...Threw a 14.65m/48-0.75 at the NCAA West Preliminary, giving her a 37th place finish in her first appearance in NCAA postseason competition...Won the shot put at the Arkansas Invitational (15.59m/51-1.75), KSU Wildcat Open (15.51m/50-10.75), Tulsa Duels (15.51m/50-10.75) and John McDonnell Invitational (15.55m/51-0.25).
2014 Indoors: Competed exclusively in the shot put, finishing in the top five in four out of her five appearances...Earned her first All-Big 12 honor in indoor competition by finishing fourth (15.86m/52-0.5) at the Big 12 Championships...Kicked off the winter by taking second place (14.75m/48-4.75) at the KSU Winter Invite...Followed her season-opening performance with a 14.80m/48-6.75 at the KSU Wildcat Invite, marking her second-consecutive second-place finish.
2013 Outdoors: Had a meet to remember at the Big 12 Championships ... She had not thrown the javelin all season, but threw a 44.82m/147-00 to break the school record and take fifth place in the event ... In the shot put, she threw a personal-best 16.01/52-6.50 to take sixth place ... At the U.S. Track and Field Championships, Ealey took second place in the junior shot put, earning a spot on the junior Pan-American team.
2013 Indoors: Just missed out on All-Big 12 honors in the shot put, finishing ninth with a 15.20m/49-10.5 at the Big 12 Championships ... Launched her indoor personal best, a 15.80m/51-10.0, to win the shot put at the Wildcat Invitational ... Won the shot put at the KSU-All Comers meet with a 15.78m/51-9.25 ... Never finished lower than 11th in an event.
High School: Won the New Mexico 4A 100 meter and the 4x100 relay state championships three-straight years ... Took the state championship in the shot put and javelin in 2011 ... Helped lead Los Alamos to three-straight state team championships ... Was the highest scoring female at the state meet in 2011 ... Also competed on the varsity basketball and volleyball teams ... Named to the all-district team in basketball and volleyball ... In volleyball, she was named the all-district player of the year and named to the all-state team ... Personal: Chase Ealey was born July 20, 1994, in Springfield, Ill. ... Daughter of Michelle Naranjo ... Her sister, Taylor, played basketball at New Mexico Highlands University, and her uncle, Leroy Naranjo, played football at New Mexico Highlands.
