Cowgirl Tennis Falls to No. 25 TCU, 4-3

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State's No. 26 ranked women's tennis team lost a thriller, 4-3, to No. 25 TCU on Friday night at the Greenwood Tennis Center.
The Cowgirls are now 7-6 on the season and fall to 4-2 in conference play.
TCU took an early lead by winning the doubles point. This is the second time this season the Cowgirls have lost the doubles point. The No. 12 pair of Anastasiya Komar and Rose Marie Nijkamp defeated Victoria Gomez and Yu-Chin Tsai 6-4. Komar and Nijkamp improved to 10-1.
Melisa Ercan and Karolina Lincer made their doubles debut, falling to Raquell Cabellero and Jennifer Jackson, 6-1, while Olivia Lincer and Luca Udvardy lost to Cayetana Gay and Tomi Main, 7-6. This marked Lincer and Udvardy's first doubles loss together.
In singles, OSU forfeited court six due to player availability, making it 2-0. OSU got wins on courts 2, three and five. First, Udvardy picked up her eighth win of the season, defeating No. 125 Cristina Ramos, 6-1, 6-1. Ercan was the second to finish, defeating Jackson, 6-2, 6-0.
Komar gave the Cowgirls the lead when she bested Gomez, 7-6, 6-3. TCU put the next two points on the board to clinch the match as No. 75 Cabellero defeated No. 74 Lincer 4-6, 6-1, 7-5 and Yu-Chin Tsai defeated No. 27 Nijkamp, 6-3, 3-6, 6-2.
OSU looks ahead to a meeting with No. 36 Baylor on Sunday at Noon at the Greenwood Tennis Center.
