Multiple Cowgirls Ranked in ITA Preseason Rankings

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State's women's tennis team was well represented in Tuesday's announcement of the ITA preseason rankings.
Anastasiya Komar and Rose Marie Nijkamp came in at No. 5 in the doubles rankings, UCF transfer and reigning Big 12 Player of the Year Olivia Lincer and Lucia Peyre appeared at No. 30.
In the singles rankings, six Cowgirls appeared on the list, with Komar ranked as the highest Big 12 player at No. 35. Gracie Epps followed at No. 50, Nijkamp at No. 53, Lincer at No. 63, incoming freshman Luca Udvardy at No. 82 and redshirt junior Lucia Peyre at No. 101.
Komar and Nijkamp are coming off a season in which they went 22-3 as a doubles team and were named ITA All-Americans. The pair went 11-0 during conference play and collected eight ranked wins on the season.
Individually, Komar went 18-7 with a seven match win streak, while Epps went 19-5 in her sophomore campaign. Nijkamp also collected 19 wins as a freshman, with Peyre missing last season due to injury.
Lincer joins the Cowgirls after a successful stint at UCF, where she went 15-2 in singles and 11-11 in doubles during the dual season for the Knights. She collected two ranked singles wins and four ranked doubles wins on her way to reaching No. 19 in the national doubles poll.
Udvardy is also ranked No. 2 in the newcomers rankings, joining the Cowgirls with an impressive junior resume that saw her reach as high as No. 14 in the ITF junior rankings. She also has made appearances in all four grand slams and reached the singles final at the 2022 Wimbledon Juniors. Udvardy collected two singles title and 10 doubles titles during her junior career, and she's added three singles titles and two doubles titles on the professional tour, most recently winning the ITF W15 Alaminos in March.
