Spratley Earns Big 12 Wrestler of the Week Honors

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State 125-pounder Troy Spratley earned Big 12 Wrestler of the Week honors after his performance against West Virginia, the conference announced on Wednesday.
Spratley joins teammates Zack Ryder (184), Sergio Vega (141), and Landon Robideau (157) as Oklahoma State's four Wrestler of the Week honorees this season, leading the conference in the award.
In a rematch of last season's 125-pound Big 12 title bout, Spratley avenged his loss to WVU's Jett Strickenberger with a 6-2 victory. Spratley opened the match with a takedown in the first and rode out Strickenberger to end the period. The Cowboy 125-pounder followed it up with a reversal in the second that was too much to overcome for Strickenberger.
