OSU A&M Board of Regents approves new contract for Athletic Director Chad Weiberg

(WARNER, Okla., Oct. 24, 2025) — The Oklahoma State University/A&M Board of Regents has approved a new, four-year contract for OSU Athletic Director Chad Weiberg, ensuring continuity in leadership for Cowboy Athletics as the landscape of college sports continues to evolve.
The decision reinforces the university's commitment to Weiberg's vision and strategic direction for the athletic department.
"Chad is providing strong, steady leadership during one of the most transformative periods in college athletics history," OSU President Jim Hess said. "He has the ability to navigate complex challenges and keep our student-athletes and programs at the forefront."
Weiberg has served as OSU's athletic director since 2021, overseeing the department through significant changes, including conference realignment, name, image and likeness (NIL) implementation and preparations for revenue sharing with student-athletes. He is the first OSU athletic director to serve on the NCAA Division 1 basketball committee and is currently leading the national search for OSU's next football coach.
"I thank the Board of Regents and President Hess for their continued confidence in our leadership and vision for OSU Athletics," Weiberg said. "Oklahoma State is a special place, and our coaches and staff are committed to ensuring our student-athletes have every resource and opportunity to compete at the highest level.
