Cowgirl Equestrian Falls to No. 1 Auburn

STILLWATER, Okla. — Oklahoma State's fourth-ranked equestrian team fell to No. 1 Auburn, 13-7, at the Pedigo-Hull Equestrian Center on Friday.
With the loss, the Cowgirls fall to 3-2, while the Tigers improve to 5-0. The loss snaps the Cowgirls' three-meet winning streak.
The meet began with Fences and Reining, where the Cowgirls lost both matches in the team category, 4-1.
The lone Cowgirl point in Fences came from Riley Hogan, who defeated Eve Westfall, 83-82. Hogan remains undefeated in Fences, earning her fifth win of the season in the event. This was her 36th-career Fences win, moving her into second all-time in Fences victories at OSU.
Despite the loss in Reining, all five Cowgirls scored 70-plus points in their efforts. Emma Filiatreau reentered the win column with a victory over Catie Reachard as she picked up her third win of the season and earned a career high of 73.5.
Quincee Clark received her first loss of the season, falling to Olivia Bradley, 74-73.5. The three other Tigers' points came from Caroline Buchanan, Alexia Tordoff and Michelle Fumagalli, as they defeated Ava Bush, Abby Budd and Tristan Bagby.
After an intermission, the meet returned with Flat and Horsemanship.
The Horsemanship squad had another solid performance for the Cowgirls, highlighted by four 75-plus point performances and three wins. Winning the event 3-2, Horsemanship remains undefeated on the season. Bella D'Onofrio scored the highest among the OSU squad with 78 points, marking her fourth-straight win.
Alana Stanton and June Roberson scored a 74.5 and 76.5 and earned wins in the process. Stanton is in the win column for the second time this season, while Roberson improves to 4-0-1.
The Flat team dropped the event, 3-2. Hogan earned her second point of the day with a win over Sophee Steckbeck, and Caroline Mirts picked up her third win of the season by defeating Sadie Berkhout, 76-60.
The Cowgirls return to action on Nov. 15 when they host No. 5 SMU at 1 p.m. at the Pedigo-Hull Equestrian Center.
