Six Cowboys Named to NWCA Scholar All-America Team for Second Consecutive Season

STILLWATER – Six members of the Oklahoma State wrestling team were named to the NWCA Scholar All-American list by the National Wrestling Coaches Association.
Daton Fix (Master's in Leisure Studies) became the fifth Cowboy to earn four selections to the NWCA Scholar All-America team since the list originated in 1991. His previous appearances on the list came in 2019, 2021 and 2022. Carter Young (Applied Exercise Science), Dustin Plott (Agribusiness) and Luke Surber (Agribusiness) each earned the honor for the second year in a row, while Konner Doucet (Agribusiness) and Victor Voinovich (Applied Exercise Science) received the honor for the first time.Â
This year, 291 wrestlers from 73 institutions were recognized for their academic achievements and commitment to the sport of wrestling.
The Cowboys tied a program high with six selections for the second straight season. It is also tied for the 11th most among the 73 Division I teams that had an individual recognized.
