Cowboys Seventh After 36 Holes At N.I.T.

Day 1 Results
TUCSON, Ariz. – Oklahoma State's men's golf team opened play at the N.I.T. at OMNI Tucson National with a 36-hole total of 569 on Friday to stand in a tie for seventh place.
The Cowboys wrapped up the morning round in eighth place at the par-72, 7,200-yard layout after posting an opening 284. OSU's 285 during the afternoon round tied them for seventh place at 7-under par with Oklahoma.
Southern California grabbed a four-shot lead with its 557 total.
Fifth year Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen and junior Jonas Baumgartner each carded opening 70s to share 14th place. The duo followed with 72s to move into a tie for 21st place.
Junior Bo Jin and senior Hazen Newman were each two shots back with opening 72s to share 32nd place. Jin carded a 71 during his afternoon round to move into 31st place, while Newman posted a 77 to dip into a tie for 66th.
Fifth year Leo Oyo carded a 75 to stand in a tie for 70th place. He bounced back with a 70 to rise into a tie for 45th place at 145.
Senior Dillon Stewart is competing individually at the event and finished the day in 83rd at 152 with rounds of 75 and 77.
