Kalib Boone Named Big 12 Player Of The Week
February 06, 2023 | Cowboy Basketball
IRVING, Texas --- For his efforts last week, Oklahoma State men's basketball's Kalib Boone nabbed his first Big 12 Men's Basketball Player of the Week and second career weekly honor, the Big 12 announced Monday.
Boone averaged 21.5 points and 5.0 rebounds as the surging Cowboys have won three straight games and five of the last six. The senior forward recorded a career-high 25 points in the home win over No. 15 TCU and added 18 points earlier in the week at Oklahoma as OSU swept the Phillips 66 Bedlam Series. Boone shot .760 (19-for-25) for the week while adding three assists and two steals.
This marked the second Big 12 Player of the Week honor for OSU this season as Avery Anderson III was recognized earlier this year.
Boone and the Cowboys remain home this Wednesday night when they play host to Texas Tech at 7 PM on ESPN+.
