Cowgirl Soccer’s Yochum Named Scholar All-American

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Oklahoma State's Grace Yochum added to her long list of accolades as she has been named to the 2022 United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-America First Team.
A midfielder from Houston, Yochum is only the fifth Cowgirl in program history to earn Academic All-America First Team honors, joining Yolanda Odenyo, Krista Lopez, Hannah Webb and Anna Beffer.
Yochum brings OSU soccer's total of Academic All-Americans to 23, with 14 different Cowgirls achieving that status.
Along with Yochum, OSU's Olyvia Dowell and Ally Jackson collected United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-West Region honors; Yochum was a first-team selection, while Olyvia Dowell and Ally Jackson were named to the second team.
Yochum is now a three-time United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-Region performer, joining Odenyo as the only Cowgirls to accomplish that feat, while Dowell is a two-time honoree.
A graduate student, Yochum carries a 3.76 grade point average and is a four-time Academic All-Big 12 First Team performer. She earned a degree in education and a minor in coaching science from OSU last May.
The most prolific scorer in OSU program history, Yochum capped her five-year career by collecting All-America honors as she tallied a team-high eight goals, give of those game winners, and an assist.
Yochum finished her career atop the Cowgirls' career lists with 41 goals and 91 points in 86 games.
Also one of the top scorers in program history, Dowell completed her OSU career with eight goals and two assists in 2022. The forward finished second in the Big 12 in shots, and her 246 career shots are second on the Cowgirls' all-time list.
Dowell ranks fifth all time at OSU with 31 goals, and she is also sixth with 82 points and ninth with 20 assists.
Carrying a 3.83 GPA, Dowell graduated from OSU this semester with a degree in applied exercise science/strength and conditioning and is a three-time Academic All-Big 12 First Team honoree.
One of the top defenders in OSU history, Jackson played in 94 games, 83 as a starter, in her five seasons in Stillwater. She led the Cowgirls in minutes played among field players in each of the last four seasons, finishing her career with nearly 8,000 minutes of action.
Jackson anchored an OSU defense in 2022 that allowed just 14 goals and posted 10 shutouts in 19 games; both those totals ranked second in the Big 12.
A native of Allen, Texas, Jackson tied for the Cowgirls' team lead last season with three assists, and she finished her career with three goals and four assists.
Jackson earned degrees in marketing and management at OSU, where she posted a 3.52 GPA and was named to the Academic All-Big 12 First Team four times.
