Cowboys Finish Second At East Lake Cup

ATLANTA – Oklahoma State's men's golf team closed out its fall season on Wednesday with a 3-2 loss at the East Lake Cup to Oklahoma in the championship match at East Lake Golf Club.
The finish marked the second time the Cowboys have finished as the runner-up at the event after falling to Texas in the title match in 2019.
The Sooners got on the board with the first two points after Logan McAllister took down junior Brian Stark, 5 and 3, and Jaxon Dowell rallied to defeat senior Eugenio Chacarra in 19 holes.
Junior Rayhan Thomas trailed by two through 10 holes before rallying in his match to record a 1-up victory over Stephen Campbell, Jr.
Chris Gotterup took down junior Hazen Newman, 4 and 3, to provide the match's deciding point.
Senior Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen claimed a 2-and-1 win over Drew Goodman to tally OSU's second point of the day.
