Former Cowboy Wins India F1 Futures

BHUBNESWAR, India – Former Oklahoma State tennis standout Arjun Kadhe, a four-time All-American for the Cowboys, won the singles title at the India F1 Futures tournament on Sunday at the Kalinga Stadium Tennis Complex.
Kadhe, currently ranked No. 525 in the world in singles and a career high No. 510 in doubles, defeated No. 531 N. Vijay Sundar Prashanth of India in the finals, 6-3, 6-2, to claim the title.
This is Kadhe's second futures title in singles as he claimed the Vietnam F3 Futures title in 2017.
Kadhe defeated No. 1162 Kunal Anand of India in the round of 32, 6-4, 6-2. He then bested No. 1200 Suraj R. Prabodh of India in the round of 16, 7-5, 6-4.
Kadhe cruised through the quarterfinals against No. 1362 Vikayant Malik, also of India, as Malik was forced to retire, 6-4, 3-0.
The semifinals competition heated up for Kadhe as he took on No. 761 Patrik Rikl of the Czech Republic. Kadhe took the first set, 7-6 (6), and then rallied back after losing the second set, 4-6, 6-4.
Kadhe also reached the finals in the doubles competition with partner, N. Vijay Sundar Prashanth where the pair fell to Sidharth Rawat and Manish Sureshkumar, 3-6, 2-6.
Kadhe still holds the OSU program record for most Big 12 era career doubles wins with 105 and is one of the most decorated players in Cowboy Tennis history.
