FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Oklahoma State track and field sophomore Elliett Kulkin set a new indoor school record in the women's pole vault with her clearance of 3.85m/12-7.5, as OSU completed its trip to the Arkansas Qualifier on Friday.
Â
Kulkin's mark is a lifetime-best height for the Tulsa, Oklahoma native, also putting her at No. 13 in the conference in the event.
Â
"It was a good day for our women vaulters," vault coach Josh Langley said. "Obviously, Elliett coming up with a PR is big, but she put together some consistent attempts and learned how to compete at a higher level today."
Â
As a whole, Dave Smith's squad took home four event titles in the one-day meet.
Â
Sprinter Malik Givens continued his consistent season, running a 6.75 in the 60-meter preliminaries to take first in his heat and qualify for the 60-meter finals. In the finals, Givens posted a solid 6.74 to take second overall.
Â
Schuyler Wood-Hilderbrandt picked up where she left off a week ago, taking first in the women's long jump, leaping 5.83m/19-1.5. Wood-Hilderbrandt is coming off a historic appearance at the Don Kirby Invitational, where she jumped 5.97m/19-7 and took control of No. 2 on the OSU all-time list.
Â
Freshman Allie Stern also showed her prowess in the women's pole vault. She finished sixth overall behind Kulkin and recorded her best mark in an OSU uniform, clearing 3.65m/11-11.75.
Â
Simon Imagbe set a personal-best mark in the men's long jump on Friday. Imagbe took home third overall, leaping 7.29m/23-11, moving him up to No. 6 all-time in the school's top-10.
Â
The men's 4x400 quartet of Kwame Donyinah, Brandon Singleton, Tanner Green and Tyler Jackson recorded the best mark for a men's relay team this season, taking silver in 3:12.68
Â
The Cowgirl DMR team will make an appearance tomorrow at the Alex Wilson Invitational in Notre Dame, Indiana in search of a qualifying mark. The women are set to run at 10:45 a.m. CT.
Â
Tomorrow's event will wrap up the final regular-season weekend of the 2017-18 indoor season, as the Big 12 Indoor Championships are set to kick off next week on Feb. 23-24. The Cowboys finished third as a squad in 2017, and the Cowgirls in fourth overall.
