STILLWATER โ Oklahoma State head coach Mike Boynton and the Cowboy coaching staff have signed one of the top recruiting classes in school history, which is currently ranked 15th or better by Scout, 247Sports and ESPN.
From shot blocking to taking over a game from the inside-out, Kalibย Boone has turned heads across the nation. Here's a look at Kalib's resume, and don't forget to check out the above video for Boynton's comments on Kalib.
Kalib Boone โ 6-9, 200, F, Tulsa, Okla. (Memorial High School)
• A consensus four-star recruit, Kalib was ranked as the top player in the state of Oklahoma and the nation's No. 98 overall recruit by both ESPN and 247Sports.com.
• Named to the ESPN Top 100 list, and was also ranked the No. 23 power forward in the country by ESPN.
• Named to The Oklahoman's Super 5 team and the Tulsa World All-State team.
• Averaged 17.1 points and 12.8 rebounds in helping Memorial High School claim their second straight 5A championship.
• Named the 2018 Oklahoma Basketball State Tournament MVP by both The Oklahoman and the Tulsa World (co-MVP with brother Keylan).
• A premier shot blocker, he had 12 games in 2017-18 with five or more blocks and finished the year with an average of 4.1 blocks per game.
• For his career, Kalib set the Memorial blocks record with 159.
• One of just three Oklahomans invited to the 2018 NBPA Top 100 camp.
