Cowgirl Golf Opens Play At Stanford Intercollegiate

PALO ALTO, Calif. – The Oklahoma State women's golf team opened up play at the Stanford Intercollegiate at the Stanford Golf Course on Friday.
The Cowgirls fired a 24-over 308 to enter the clubhouse in 17th place with 36 holes to play. No. 3 Southern California leads the field at 12-under 272, while five golfers are tied atop the individual leaderboard at 4-under 67.
Cowgirl Michelle Forsland posted a bogey-free back nine to finish her opening round 2-over 73. The junior will enter the Saturday's second round in a tie for 29th.
Sophomore Stephanie Astrup posted a pair of birdies and will enter Saturday's second round at 5-over 76, and in a tie for 60th place. Emma Whitaker and Chih-Min Chen are in 80th and 81st place, respectively.
The Cowgirls will tee of the second round of the Stanford Intercollegiate at 10:36 a.m. Central.
