April 07, 2016 | Cowgirl Equestrian
STILLWATER – OSU Equestrian's Jorden Davis and Ebba Lange were selected as All-Americans by the NCEA on Thursday.
The top four riders per discipline were selected and named First-Team All-America by the NCEA Selection Committee, while the next four riders per discipline were named Second-Team All-America.
Lange, who compiled a 10-3 record on the season, was selected to the Reining First Team. The Gnesta, Sweden native was also named to the All-Big 12 Reining Team, as well as the All-Big 12 Academic First Team last month.
Competing in both Reining and Horsemanship, Lange has been a crucial part of the Cowgirls' success so far this season. To go with her 10-3 record in Reining, Lange's individual high score of 72.5 was tied for the best score for the Cowgirls in the event this season.
Davis, a junior out of Hebron, Connecticut, was named to the Equitation on the Flat Second Team. This is Davis' second NCEA All-American honor, having been named to the Equitation on the Flat First Team her freshman season. Davis was also named to the All-Big 12 Equitation on the Flat Team earlier this year.
She has also received numerous NCEA and Big 12 academic honors in all three of her years at Oklahoma State.
Davis finished with a 9-2 record in the event this year and posted a career-high score of 95 against Auburn on March 11, taking home Most Outstanding Performer honors for her display.
Lange, Davis and the Cowgirls will head to Waco, Texas to compete in the NCEA National Championship next week. The Cowgirls will face the winner of Texas A&M and Fresno State on Friday, April 15.
