STILLWATER – Oklahoma State wrestling standout Alex Dieringer has been named the 2016 Pound for Pound award winner by Amateur Wrestling News, it was announced Thursday.

Dieringer has held the No. 1 ranking in all polls at his weight for the last two seasons and has proved to be the guy to beat.
This is only the second year the award has been given out by the organization, with the inaugural prize going to four-time NCAA champion Logan Stieber of Ohio State.
