Cowgirl Equestrian Welcomes New Recruiting Class

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State Equestrian has signed 10 high school seniors as its 2016 signing class.
"We are very excited about this year's signing class," Sanchez said. "They're a great group who will not only represent OSU in the riding arena, but also in the classroom."
Mattie Alewine – Buckeye, Arizona
The Buckeye, Arizona native competed at the 2015 American Junior Paint Horse Association (AjPHA) World Show, where she placed in the top five in Novice Youth Horsemanship, top 10 in Novice Youth Pleasure, Western Pleasure, Western Riding and Hunter Under Saddle and placed in the top 15 in Novice Youth Showmanship … Alewine is the 2015 Arizona Quarter Horse Youth Association (AzQHYA) Sun Circuit Champion … In 2014, Alewine was the unanimous winner in the AQHA Novice Championships in Hunter Under Saddle … She placed sixth in Hunt Under Saddle and seventh in Hunt Seat Equitation at the Novice Championships (West) … Alewine was the 2014 Arizona Quarter Horse Year-End Reserve Novice Youth High Point … She was the 2014 AzQHYA year-end first place in Novice Youth: Hunter Under Saddle and year-end third place in Novice Youth: Hunt Seat Equitation … Alewine is currently an National Honor Society member, AjPHA National Director, AzQHYA 14-18 Representative and Arizona Junior Paint Horse Club Head Chair of Fundraising and Clinics.
Nicole Campbell – Crete, Illinois
Hailing from Crete, Illinois, Campbell has had multiple top five placings at the All-American Quarter Horse Congress … She was the 2014 American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) Year-End High Point: Hunt Seat Equitation – Fourth Place … In 2014, Campbell was the National Snaffle Bit Association (NSBA) Champion in Hunt Seat Equitation at the All-American Quarter Horse Congress … She a the Year-End award winner in Horsemanship, as well as Equitation in 2013 … Campbell is currently a member of the National Honor Society.
Sarah Clymer – Edmond, Oklahoma
One of two signees from Edmond, Oklahoma, Clymer was a Pinto World Youth Horsemanship Finalist … She is a Reserve World Champion in Novice Trail, as well as in Hunter Under Saddle … Clymer has multiple circuit championships in Trail, Hunter Under Saddle and Horsemanship … She was the Dixie Nationals' Novice All-Around High Point, four-time Southwest Champion and a Holiday Classic Trail Circuit Champion.
Hallie McClintock – Galena, Ohio
Hailing from Galena, Ohio, McClintock has had much success during her young career … She has had numerous top five and top 10 placings at the All-American Quarter Horse Congress and has taken home numerous AQHA Circuit awards … She is an Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) Champion in Reining and an IEA Reserve National Champion in Horsemanship … McClintock received the National Reining Horse Association's (NHRA) National Sportsmanship Award … McClintock is currently a member of the National Honor Society.
Hannah Mitchell – Cuba, Missouri
A native of Cuba, Missouri, Mitchell placed third in Level 1 at the 2015 National Reining Breeder's Classic (NRBC) Non-Pro Derby … She also placed third at the 2015 NRHA Oklahoma Ride and Slide Non-Pro Derby … In 2014, Mitchell was an American Quarter Horse Youth Association (AQHYA) World Show Finalist, the 2014 NRHA Capital City Classic Youth Champion and the NRHA Tulsa Reining Classic Youth Champion … She was the Youth Reining Champion at the AQHA Novice Championships in 2013 … In 2012, Mitchell was the American Buckskin Registry Association (ABRA) World Champion, as well as the NRHA Youth Derby Reserve Champion … She placed in the top 10 at the AQHYA World Show in 2012 and 2013 and is a three-time Reserve Champion at the All-American Quarter Horse Congress … In high school, Mitchell has been on Principal's Honor Roll and varsity basketball and softball all four years, and is a member of the National Honor Society.

Emily Morris – Davenport, Iowa
Native of Davenport, Iowa … Top 10 in NRHA 14-18 World Standings in both 2014 and 2015 … 2015 14-18 Champion and High-Point Winner at the NRHA Derby … Placed in top 10 at NRHA and AQHA All-American Quarter Horse Congress in 2015 … MWRHA 14-18 Year-End Champion in 2014 and NCRHA 14-18 Year-End champion in 2015 … Member of National Honor Society
Matti Schulman – Tarzana, California
Native of Tarzana, California … Schulman qualified for the 2014 and 2015 USEF Pessoa Hunter Seat Medal Finals … She also qualified for 2015 Maclay Regionals … Schulman has won numerous equitation and jumper championships throughout her junior career at shows across California … She is currently a member of Cum Laude Society and National Honor Society

Kristi Wiggins – Temecula, California
A native of Temecula, California, Wiggins was the 2015 Southwest Regional Affiliate Finals Intermediate Non-Pro Champion … She was an AQHYA World Show Qualifier in 2012, '13 and '15 … Wiggins was the 2014 NRHA Futurity Unrestricted Youth and Youth (14-18) Champion … She was also the Youth (14-18) Champion at 2014 High Roller Reining Classic and the Youth Champion of NRBC Challenge in 2012 … Wiggins earned letters in both Track & Field as well as Equestrian at Great Oak High School.
