Cowgirls Tied For Third In California

PALO ALTO, Calif. - Oklahoma State's women's golf team posted a 288 during its second round at the Stanford Intercollegiate on Saturday to stand in a tie for third place at Stanford Golf Course.
Through 36 holes, the Cowgirls have a 9-over 577 total and are tied with Oregon State at the par-71, 6,082-yard layout. Southern California posted a 285 during its second round for a 571 total and a four-stroke lead over Washington.
USC's Kyung Kim fired a 66 to move from a tie for 17th place into first place at 4-under 138.
Two players finished one stroke off the pace of Kim, including OSU's Kelsey Vines. The senior followed an opening 70 with a 69 to get to her 3-under total.
Junior Josephine Janson posted a 73 during her second round to dip from a tie for first into a tie for eighth place at 142.
Sophomore Courtney Ferguson posted a 1-under 70 to move into a tie for 25th place at 146.
Juniors Jayde Panos and Amy Ruengmateekhun each posted 76s to come in with totals of 150 and 153, respectively. Panos will begin her final round tied for 49th, while Ruengmateekhun is tied for 62nd place.
The Cowgirls will begin their third round tomorrow at 9 a.m. (PST) and will be grouped with USC and Washington.
